VMAX Rising (Japanese: 強化拡張パック VMAXライジング Strength Expansion Pack: VMAX Rising) is the name given to the first Japanese subset released during the Sword & Shield Era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is an enhancement of the first main expansion, Sword and Shield, featuring the collection symbol "S1a". It continues the introduction of Generation VIII Pokémon to the TCG, while providing new prints of Pokémon already included in the first expansion.
